September Newsletter 2007

Hello and welcome to the very first edition of Invertabid's newsletter. We hope you find this edition useful and perhaps entertaining.

Invertabid now boasts 332 genuine members, which is fantastic. Since opening on the first of September 2006 we have slowly gained more and more members with little fuss and few issues. That is plenty of interested people to sell to! The site also gains a huge number of visits once auctions are set up, so get selling!

One point we would like to stress, we do actively monitor our site and we do penalise members who seek to avoid our policies and set practices as such 17 members have been banned (this does not affect the total number of members currently on site)

One of these members is a popular pet shop owner who sought to deliver reptiles via the Royal Mail, he has been banned for life, be warned, we do care, and we always watch.

So you are probably thinking what's new....well

Invertabid has recently gone through a number of updates, some of them substantial.

The site has been moved to a much faster new UK server meaning for those who care the response time for the site has gone from 115 mill a seconds to 15, a mark able increase.

The auction software has been updated, making the site faster, safer and more pleasant to use (just look at your members are when you log in!

Also and quite importantly we have re-introduced the community forum to the site found at www.invertabid.co.uk/community join it you will benefit from the wealth of experience and general chit chat that will likely take place soon.

So why the newsletter now? Why not earlier?

During the past few moths i personally have has allot of difficulty at home, it is likely some of you may sympathise with the situation.

In April my Grandmother with whom i live became very ill, though initially she improved from a condition which very near killed her she sadly passed away because of a hospitalised infection. During this period i was also sitting examinations’ for my Law degree. I am very sorry that i neglected the site but i had no real option at the time.

Again i am sorry for that, let's try to get things started on the right foot again!

So why the newsletter now? Why not earlier?

Is Invertabid safe to join? Put simply YES,

All information collected by us is stored in a secure environment and accessed only by the Invertabid administrators for operational use. Under no circumstances will your information be distributed or accessed by ANYONE other than us. Notably account information will only be accessed for security checks and to ensure the information we hold is accurate and up to date.

Invertabid is a website that brings together hobbyists, who collect, keep and breed exotic pets. We provide a platform for the responsible sale or exchange, of your captive bred or excess pets. We offer those who wish to sell stock options of listing either auctions or wanted ads, and the option of creating online stores.

Please note we appreciate that some may disagree with the sale of animals via the internet and they may particularly disagree with the sale of animals via auction, however, we take all aspects of this business seriously. We will collectively ensure that all auctions conform to some basic and reasonable standard; we also hope that any issues with any part of this site are addressed promptly.

We can assume no responsibility for the actions of our clientele, however, we set a strict set of guidelines for the sale of livestock, and we actively moderate all auctions and activity on the site, if any issues are brought to our attention we will act swiftly.
